The Marinwood Community Center Summer Fencing Camp 2004

Session I, June 21 - 25

Session II, August 9 - 13

Try out a week-long camp in this challenging sport, which offers both action and fun! Organized especially for those new to the sport, this summer fencing camp is located in Marin and is sponsored by the Sonoma Fencing Academy and the Marinwood Community Center. Bringing the ancient art of dueling to the modern-day world, students will learn about the rich history and tradition of fencing as they discover the fun and competitive sport of present day Olympic athletes. One incredible week of fencing exercises, cross-training, one-on-one coaching, and bouting will give students a solid foundation in the Olympic sport of fencing. This camp both sharpens the mind and exercises the body as camp-goers fence, cross train, play fun games and learn the rules of the sport. Come and learn all about the mental discipline and physical effort needed to partake in the ancient art of fencing. Participants should bring a bag lunch, and be prepared to have a good time!
