In the hotly contested and highly challenging Open Men's Foil this season, SFA did well with Forrest MacDougall in 7th place, followed by Jim Liebich, Alex Simmons and Ben Anderson in 13th, 15th and 25th places, respectively.
In Open Women's Foil, Elena Liroff took 4th place, followed by Jana Wick in 7th. Nice fencing, ladies.
In C2 Men's Foil Jim Liebich finished in 3rd place for the season, followed by Ben Anderson in 7th place. Ian Tatum came in at 10th place, but after earning his C03 (like many of the juniors this year) happily won't be able to compete in the C2 category next year. Ah well, there's always the Open, right Ian? Stephen Christensen, a newcomer at SFA, made a late start this season but looks to be a strong contender next year. He finished in 28th place.
In the C2 Women's Foil, Jana Wick took 4th place for the season. A strong contender, Jana looks like she has a good chance of taking first next year in both C2 and Open Women's Foil. Good luck Jana, but beware of the up and coming Elena Liroff. She's eying that Open Women's first place prize as well!
