The Sonoma Fencing Academy Under-19 Men's Foil Team!
Congratulations go out to Ben Anderson, Forrest Macdougall, Samuel Perkins, and Alex Simmons for their spectacular win in the Under-19 Men's Team Foil event at the Summer Nationals in Sacramento this year. It was a thrilling victory, and an exemplary display of teamwork on the part of our Elite fencers. The younger members of our Academy were reportedly quite inspired by this turn of events. Good job, guys. We are all proud of you.
Several members of the Sonoma Fencing Academy did well in this year's Summer Nationals. Among them, Alex Simmons took 6th place in Under-19 Men's Foil, and 12th in the Youth-14 Foil category. Jana Wick placed 14th in Division II Women's Foil event, out of 163 competitors. Kristi Faure represented the Sonoma Fencing Academy for the first time in the Veteran 40/49 Women's Foil event, and Jana Wick, Kristi Faure and Kaelyn Leake also teamed up to represent SFA in the Women's Team Foil event. Good job, guys!
We look forward to a good season next year as our Academy grows and our fencers train and improve over the summer.
Nice fencing, everyone!
